Do you agree that the events of October 7 had an impact on you ?
October 7th proved to me what I already know, Israelis live in a different dimension. The whole situation can be summarized like this:
An Israeli goes to a doctor.
Doctor: What seems to be the problem, Jacob?
Jacob: Oh, I don’t know, just the worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust.
Doctor: I am sorry?
Jacob: As am I. No one wants to see civilians die, but put yourself in Israel’s shoes, how would you have responded?
Doctor: I think I see what is going on here.
Jacob: Oh, just shut up and release the hostages!
Doctor: Jacob?
Jacob: You know... I read somewhere that Hamas played baseball with the 40 beheaded baby heads.
Doctor: Jacob.
Jacob: Sorry.
Doctor: Can you remember anything before October 7th?
Jacob: No!
Doctor: I believe that you are suffering from a debilitating condition called October 7th-ism.
Jacob: What’s that?
Doctor: It is the delusion that history began on October 7th, 2023, and any response to October 7th up to and including genocide is basically fine because of October 7th.
Jacob: Any known cure doctor? Antipsychotics? Electroshock therapy?
Doctor: No. Good news! The remedy is much simpler than that.
*Doctor gives Jacob a card.*
Jacob: What’s this?
Doctor: It’s a library card. Do some fucking reading, will you?
