What are some examples of solidarity between Palestine and other liberation movements ?
Historically speaking, there have been strong ties between the Palestinian revolution and movements for liberation all over the world. Leaders such as Thomas Sankara and Kwame Ture supported the Palestinian struggle against Israeli colonialism. Huey Newton visited Palestinian refugee camps in an act of solidarity. George Jackson was heavily influenced by Palestinian poetry and thinkers while in jail. The Black Panther party, as well as the Young Lords Party all took firm pro-Palestinian and anti-imperialist stances.

Today, these expressions of solidarity can be seen between Palestinian activists and the Black Lives Matter movement, as well as the Movement for Black Lives, the NODAPL protests, and other resistance movements all over the world. For example, the Deadly Exchange campaign aims to end collaboration and training between Israeli and American police departments, where both learn violent tactics from each other to suppress marginalized people and crush dissent.
